‘Buds, Berries and Leaves’ – the latest community science survey is launched

‘Buds, Berries and Leaves’ is the latest Community Science survey to be launched by Moors for the Future Partnership - as residents and visitors to the Peak District and South Pennines continue to help record how the moorland environment is responding to climate change.
The survey has been designed to encourage volunteers to record the timings of seasonal events – such as leaf-opening, flowering, fruiting and leaf-fall – in four well known upland plants: bilberry, rowan, crowberry and heather.

Bogtastic! Fantastic! What a success! 450 people got stuck into all things boggy on the 26th July. This event was co-hosted by the Exmoor Mires Partnership and Exmoor National Park Authority aims to raise awareness and enjoyment of bogs, wildlife and heritage on Exmoor.
Fundraising begins to replace boardwalk destroyed in fire

In 2013, the Friends of Langlands Moss LNR raised £100,000 to replace the ageing wooden boardwalk and the signage pertaining to the importance of Langlands Moss LNR. This new boardwalk was made from recycled materials and funded from several grants and South Lanarkshire Council.
