Peatlands, People and Nature conference 2024: poster presentations

Peatlands, People and Nature conference 2024: poster presentations

The centrepiece of the conference was the vibrant exhibition area that was open to the attendees over the three days, and to the wider public on the first day. A diverse range of interactive exhibition stands were set up by our sponsors (including McGowan, Salix, BeadaMoss, Forest Carbon), the four countries and non-profit organisations (including RSWT, Butterfly Conservation, Re-PEAT, Buglife and Yorkshire Peat Partnership). A highlight of the exhibition area was the Peatland ACTION Excavator Simulator for those who wanted to try their hand at peatland restoration in a virtual setting.

The poster area featured over 70 posters this year, covering peatland-themed scientific research projects, examples of restoration on the field, monitoring and citizen science, and showcasing collaborative action and innovative techniques to deliver peatland restoration.
