The final day of plenaries concluded with two sessions: the year in review for the IUCN UK Peatland Programme, and a participatory session opening the floor to attendees to ask how we respond to the challenges ahead.
Updates from the IUCN UK Peatland Programme
Director, Emma Hinchliffe, brought the plenary sessions to a close with an introduction to the team, their roles, and some of the achievements from the programme over the last twelve months.

Responding to the challenge
Stuart Brooks, IUCN UK Peatland Programme Chair, invited the audience to reflect and pose questions in response to the presentation on Day 1 outlining the progress against the UK Peatland Strategy. Emma Hinchliffe, Programme Director, Sara Booth-Card, UK Campaign Lead for The Wildlife Trusts, Chris Evans from the Centre of Ecology and Hydrology, and Alister Lockett from the North Pennines National Landscape Partnership joined Stuart in a panel discussion.
