The early advent of winter in mid-November brought three restoration projects in the Cairngorms to a halt and prevented another four projects from starting. Work was progressing well on Invercauld Estate and RSPB Abernethy, documented in an interview by Euan McIlwraith from Radio Scotland Out of Doors on 22 November. Then, that afternoon snow came in and the hills have remained covered. All projects are now on hold with contractors taking machines off the hill - the last to do so was Highland Conservation from An Lurg on Abernethy.
