Seeking content for the COP29 Virtual Peatland Pavilion

September 30, 2024

First launched in 2021 as part of COP26 in Glasgow, our virtual peatland pavilions are a digital spaces filled with resources relating to peatlands around the globe. The latest pavilion is modelled on the leaves of peat-forming Sphagnum moss and features documents, videos, animations and photographic tours of peatlands from almost every continent.

To raise awareness of the global importance of peatlands during COP29 in November, we are currently seeking new content to update and re-curate the existing pavilion. If you have a digital resource you would like to share, please complete our content submission form. Content can be submitted at any time, but the deadline for COP29 content is Wednesday 16th October. If you're unable to access Microsoft Forms, content can also be submitted to info@iucn.org.uk.

Content should ideally already be freely available online, and can be in the form of a poster, publication, website, image, video, map or podcast. If you would like to share a video, send us a YouTube link if possible.

We are particularly keen to gather additional resources from outside Europe, so please share internationally.

Submit content for our latest update.

The virtual peatland pavilions are a collaboration between the United Nations Environment Programme's Global Peatlands Initiative, the IUCN UK Peatland Programme and many international contributors.
