Forsinard Flows Field Centre is Now Open

November 18, 2016

The Flow Country is an area of deep peat and bog pools, located in the Caithness and Sutherland peatlands. The Flows to the Future Project, the Peatlands Partnership and RSPB Scotland at Forsinard Flows National Nature Reserve are working together to restore and protect this important landscape.

Located in the heart of the Flow Country, the Flows Field Centre offers residential accommodation for visiting students, researchers and school groups. Staying at the centre will enable you  to learn more about the work going on across the Flow Country, through field trips, practical conservation work and talks.

The field centre offers overnight accommodation for up to 16 people, as well as  an education room, a field laboratory, and cooking facilities (self catering or an external caterer are options). It is located within easy walking distance of Forsinard train station.

For more information or to make a booking, please contact Jenny Middlehurst at: jenny.middlehurst@rspb.org.uk.
