In response to enquiry from the Scottish Government, ClimateXchange has produced a briefing on potential reduction that could arise from from peatland restoration in Scotland.
In mid-February, the Scottish Government submitted an enquiry to ClimateXChange on the potential emissions reduction that could arise from peatland restoration in Scotland. ClimateXChange provided expert opinion on a range of values relevant to Scottish conditions to use as indicative emissions factors. The brief is being used to inform policy thinking on the potential for peatland restoration to contribute to meeting Scotland’s climate change targets.
