Eyes on the Bog is the Peatland Programme’s long-term, low-cost monitoring initiative for peatland sites, and a great way of engaging communities in assessing the health of their local peatlands. Our Eyes on the Bog Fund aims to support existing Eyes on the Bog users to purchase new equipment, provide new engagement opportunities and resources, and collate and input data.
This forms part of our wider package of support for Eyes on the Bog during 2024 and 2025. We plan to release an updated manual and new introductory resources, train new Eyes on the Bog users and celebrate the work of the many partnerships employing the methodology and engaging people with peatlands.
Applications are welcomed from organisations currently employing Eyes on the Bog methodology and open on Friday 8th March until midday on Monday 8th April.
